Update:
This website represents an old project that developed online education material for a handful of technical topics, with hopes that the model could be scaled in various ways. While this hope remains (and I suspect that this project has not seen its end), my interests have developed further. I now have a doctorate in industrial engineering (researching engineering leadership), as well as a masters in education (researching active learning in quantum mechanics). I have a strong commitment to advancing the field of engineering education. My LinkedIn profile includes a more up-to-date summary of my professional life.

The Situation:
Engineering education is desperately in need of profound improvements. Students need great education. Educators need easy access to fantastic content, and they need support to improve their craft.
What does our solution look like? A picture (or link) is worth a 1000 words… Check out the subtopics on the right…
Our Mission:
The mission of Educadia is to provide top-quality engineering education resources, through continually improving content based on best-practices.
Sounds good, but what does that look like?
- Stop searching through the sea of mediocre online content: One location where educators and students can find great, topic-based content.
- Easily implement mastery-based learning: Gauge student mastery of elementary concepts.
- Use the BEST content available: ‘Survival of the fittest’ online content, as users rate content effectiveness. Better content replaces existing content, perpetually.
Our Platform:
The backbone of the content is an innovative interactive assessment and online teaching platform. The platform consists of 5 elements that empower engineering educators to craft a profoundly effective learning experience, both in and out of the classroom:
- Short Videos (8-10 min.) that build topical working knowledge and intuition, based on known best-practices in technology education. Over 100 are already created (with over 15,000 views), with more coming all the time.
- Mastery-based Quizzes, based on essential concepts in the topic. PHASE 2.
- Supplemental Content, such as demos & case-studies that are the best for that topic.
- Continual Improvement, where content is continually added, revised and improved, based on expert insight.
- A team of experts guiding content development, from content experts to education experts to experienced teachers
